Norton Disk Doctor (NDD) is a comprehensive disk diagnostic utility that tests the surface of your hard disk for errors and bad sectors.
NDD performs a thorough surface scan of your disk, checking each sector for errors. When bad sectors are detected, NDD will attempt to recover the data and mark the sector as unusable to prevent future data loss.
Unscanned - Sectors not yet tested (blue)
Empty - Sectors with no data (black)
Data - Sectors containing file data (cyan)
Good - Sectors that passed testing (green)
Bad - Sectors with errors (red)
Recovered - Bad sectors successfully recovered (yellow)
F1 - Display this help screen
ESC - Cancel operation and restart
